Long-Term Recovery Efforts

Tropical Storm Helene caused widespread devastation across much of its path, with Western North Carolina among the hardest hit. Grounded Boots Relief, based in Hendersonville, remains committed to ongoing recovery throughout the region. Our current focus is on clearing hazardous trees, cutting and removing fallen debris, and supporting safe access for continued rebuilding. Below, you can see the progress of our ongoing efforts.

Our Primary Areas of Assistance

Grounded Boots Relief is currently concentrating its long-term recovery work in three Western North Carolina counties: Henderson, Transylvania, and Polk. These areas experienced significant damage from Tropical Storm Helene, and each continues to face substantial unmet needs. By focusing our efforts locally, we can maintain steady progress, coordinate effectively with partner organizations, and ensure residents in these communities receive consistent, reliable support as recovery continues.
